This treatment uses a combination of heat, radio frequency and dynamic muscle activation. This combination triggers the skin to produce more collagen and elastin. Each year our bodies naturally produce less collagen and elastin which is what causes fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin.
You will see results from only 1 treatment, and this result will typically last 6-12 months. Each treatment you get triggers the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, the more collagen and elastin your skin produces the better the results and the longer the results will last. Each client has different skin, different concerns and different goals, it really depends on each person individually how many treatments it will take for them to achieve their goal. Once you have reached your goal with this service it is recommended to get maintenance treatments once or twice a year to maintain the quality of the skin.
This is a non invasive, pain free treatment. You can resume daily activities once you leave the studio.
Most people show little to no signs of having a treatment, depending on the sensitivity of the skin you may look like you have a light sunburn for a few hours.
We recommend no hot tubs/saunas, tanning beds or vigorous work outs a few hours prior to your appointment. Although your skin may not feel hot to the touch by the time you arrive, the lower level of the dermis may still be warm. Our system uses heat as one of its technologies, adding more heat to an already heated dermis causes risk of creating heat rash. Please show up to your appointment with a freshly washed face, no makeup and no cream.
Radio frequency skin tightening is an outpatient procedure. It takes about one hour, depending on the treatment area. You go home soon after the procedure. During the procedure, your provider cleans and sterilizes your skin and moves a hand-held radio frequency electrode device over the treatment area. The treatment area may feel warm, and you may experience tingling vibrations or mild discomfort. You should alert your provider if you feel an uncomfortable burning sensation.
If skin is irritated apply only soothing and healing products. Products that are suitable would-be products that you would use if you had a sunburn. Use sunscreen if treated area will be exposed to the sun for more than 10 minutes. Avoid more then just a few minutes in the sun or you risk a double heat burn. Exercising (sweat and heat will irritate the skin. After 24 hours you can exercise.) Hot steamy showers, or hot water on your treated area. Double heat is not good. FOR THE NEXT 24-72 HOURS YOU MUST AVOID: Hot tubs, swimming (chemicals in the water), steams, sauna. Aggressive products eg. Scrubs, products containing retinol or retin A, glycolic and other AHA’s. Sun tanning or tanning beds. Other heat or electrical treatments on the area.
